Frequently Asked

How much is a Charizard PSA 9 worth?

Based on live asking prices we track on eBay, fair value for a Charizard PSA 9 sits around $198 right now, with current asks ranging from about $165 to $342 across 26 live listings. Keep in mind asking prices usually run a little above what cards actually sell for, so treat this as a well-informed guide, not an appraisal.

Is the price of a Charizard PSA 9 going up or down?

Early but real: since we started tracking it on August 30, fair value has moved from $219 to $198 — down about 9%. That's a short window, so treat it as directional rather than a trend. Fair value here is a trimmed median of live asks, recomputed a few times a day — the chart on this page has the whole line.

How many Charizard PSA 9 listings are live right now?

As of our last sweep, 100+ live eBay listings passed our identity checks for this exact slab, asking from $165 delivered (item + shipping). That's our radar's verified view, not all of eBay — listings without clear photos or a provable match don't count, and sellers list and delist all day. Every one we see is in the Available Now rail on this page.

What card is this exactly?

It's the Charizard from Celebrations Classic Collection, card number 4, professionally graded 9 by PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator). The grade and cert number on the slab make this exact card identifiable and priceable — that's why our radar tracks graded copies only.

Why do prices for the same card vary so much?

Grade is most of the story: a single grade step can move the price dramatically, and even within one grade, listings differ on seller reputation, photo quality, and shipping. That spread is exactly what our radar watches — when someone lists a legitimate copy well below the going rate, it shows up on our deal board. Card grading, explained simply →

Where can I find one below market price?

Right now our Deal Radar sees 16 live listings for this card priced at least 10% below the fair value we compute — they're badged in the Available Now rail on this page. Every purchase happens on eBay, with eBay buyer protection.

Is the PSA 10 worth the premium over the PSA 9?

Right now the PSA 10 sits around $600 and the PSA 9 around $198, based on live asking prices we track — about 203% more for the higher grade. Collectors pay for the jump because top grades are scarcer and hold attention; whether that jump is worth it is your call. If you mostly want the card, the PSA 9 is the value play — if you want the ceiling, it's the PSA 10. See the PSA 10 price guide →
